I hope people don't follow this advice. Literally just walk in, be friendly and that's it. I've been told that the waitlist is months long but after I put a reservation down (name only, no money obviously) they called me the week after to come and pick it up and that's that. Right now my local dealer (rather small town and AD) doesn't have too much inventory but there's still multiple steel models to take with you.
I've tried on Pateks and Langes in the most casual clothes I own. Dealers want to sell you stuff and if they can't sell to you they at least want to get you hooked on their product. Stop it with the business gentlesir larp.
