The gap between being 6ft 1in and 6ft 3in+ is even bigger than the gap between being 5ft 11.5in and being 6ft, 6ft 3in is literally the perfect height, it's intimidating to be as short as me and be around people that are the proper height.

Youre right but even if you had money, would you want to advertise that? I still need a watch but its not about having money but who you attract and how youre presenting yourself. I think wearing an expensive watch is like asking for trouble. I dont have enogh money to buy a cartier tank or a rolex oysteperpetual or f.p journe chronometre bleu, thats right, but even if i did, what is to gain? This is all my opinion and im sure some people buy expensive watches and can handle it. Obviously id feel a touch good and confident wearing a lange every day.

Im very neurotic, so i think: all that it takes is one bad person to target you, and you lose a very good watch, potentially a lot or money but others can probably handle it
It does seem like its still a piece of jewelry as a quartz but it looks like good, fancy mechanical watches are a high barrier to entry, so to even join that club requires an investment of at least $1,000 for a Nomos or a used Breitling or something. Losing 5 seconds per day i guess isnt a big deal so quartz is probably not necessary.
