And they do very well in the rain. Most of them are pre-treated and the weave is very tight. One think though, they look a bit weird on the hem because you're supposed to pass an elastic loop at the back though your legs and attach it to a part on the front, like an old jump smock. I have never seen this done, and a friend of mine who was in the Norwegian Army says nobody does it.
