How did he keep the shoe together, after taking out all of the stitchs on the sides? I’m thinking fabric glue, but I’ve never done anything DIY before. I’m trying to copy.

I dig this look of SK8-HIs with the white wave removed, looks more matured. Apparently you can do it by using a seam ripper and removing the stitches as the wave is only stitched on. Didn't try it on my pair though since I don't have a seam ripper at the moment.
