if that's the italian make then I've not heard much about them at all

tbh I am very wary of italian brands, out side of a few that ive personal experience with
this goes for everything by the way, not just their shoes

you just can't trust them (and that's a personal bias too i guess - sorry if you're italian)

pre-distressing can diminish the quality or it may not, it depends on how it was done.

some shoes are "antiqued" and that's just polish them a certain way to give the leather an aged appearance. more drastic measures that actually alter the boot's structure and shape is another matter

eg
pic is of a wings & horns and dayton collaboration (it's just their service boot)

WH tied a ball to the toe, and threw them in a washing machine.

would you do that to your own boots?

still, dayton made a pretty damn sturdy boot considering it survived and is worn and lusted after (why) today.

oh, and to be fair concering tricksy italiano's, those barker boots I posted as a cheaper alternative are not really made in england, at least not fully

like grenson barker make most of their shoe in india and then send the to the uk to be welted and finished

that being said everything italian i've owned has looked nice but not been particularly "long-lasting", and for stuff for which it's applicable the qc usually isn't there

still, the italians do far surpass everyone at one thing, and that's design

build quality is another matter entirely, but as far as design goes they are supurb.
