>For starters, we don't fuck and talk and play and struggle with bodies, we fuck and talk and play and struggle with humans *through* our bodies. When we feel powerfully drawn to someone, it's never only about flesh, but about humans - about life, about feelings and expectation and memory.

Yes, but what sparks the initial attraction is the person's appearance. While a person's attractiveness varies based on cultural and social factors, as well as personal preferences, I'm sure you can agree that we as humans are drawn to attractive people (not clothes).

>I'm not attracted to or looking to have in my life 99.99% of the population, are you?

If you don't find the type of clothing most people wear attractive, that's fine.

>And this is the kind of fallacious, arrogant basicness that set me off: you can't really possibly believe there's one way to look good. That you know or get or decide what it is for everyone. That everyone, or anyone, is just interested in looking "good," or good, all of the time, or wants their partners to do so. Can you?

I never implied there's only one way to look good. It's just my opinion that while clothes like >>9241966 can be attractive themselves, they don't make the person wearing them more attractive. But of course, looking good is not the only reason for fashion, and not everyone cares to look good, like you said.

>Besides all of that, >>9241966 # makes me want to fall into it and cuddle and spoon against those swaths of fabric for days and >>9241978 #
is literally unremarkable. Tall skinny girl in a thrown on bathing suit, whatever, lemme go swim. I might doubletake and be like "is that Cara?!?" because I'm a sucker for the auras of fame and fashion and wealth but I'd go on with my life.

That's just your own opinion :)
