vostok is honestly the purest and most honest watch brand around

>no meme tryhard innovations that actually do nothing
>no meme materials
>no obnoxious ad campaigns
>no chasing of disgusting design trends
>no overpriced exclusive line
>no hyping up of re-release watches only to sell them at like 500% previous cost
>no relentless, shameless milking of limited edition releases every other week
>no (((artificial scarcity))), they still make watches with lots of labour and old machinery
>purely word of mouth
>still selling watches at $100 unlike many other brands of their heritage

they just keep quiet, churning out solid, rugged inhouse watches for anyone who wants to buy one around the world. If you cared anything about watches you will love vostok for what they are, because its very rare.

Same here. But lately I have just been using my Amphibia for everything I don't need an alarm or chrono for. Kinda want a ProTrek because altimeter and thermometer for /out/ use (+ chrono, alarm, timer and whatnot for general /sci/ use).
Are they any good?

I'm not watching some onions influencer video but yes there was one swing lug Amphibian in space. The cosmonaut thanked the factory with a short handwritten note but there is nothing more to be said than that.

You can't buy the same model new, although there are some vaguely similar models like 120512, 120849.

There are far more interesting Soviet models like the Strela chronograph which was exposed to open space well before Omega and can be seen above in the thread, and Sturmanskie worn by Gagarin on the first manned spaceflight and also had a remake recently.
