In th same price range you aint getting anything better than the SKX...

Id go for something more playful for days off, summer etc like an orange dial Mako Ray. You can too consider a Luminox if it fits your style; would be handy for the dayoff wstch to be quartz so you dont need to set it every weekend. And you get a quite different watch with tritium etc.

I gave my orange Mako Ray with orange zulu to my dad for the beach and vacation and he loves it. (Not mine in pic)
