That's where I stopped taking you seriously. You guys all have the same mentality. I grew up around it and I've seen it all through school and life.

You need to understand that some people wear clothes because they like clothing. YOU, on the other hand, said this:

That's two alternatives you gave us. They're both wrong. They both involve defining the self in relation to others and for the sake of others. People like me define ourselves because the process gives us joy. That is all. There is no endgame. There is only the joy of becoming right now.

You're not one of me, and that's okay. You have a role to play in this life too. You are concerned with processes and results. Thank god for that, we need that as a species. Just try and remember that this isn't about social climbing for some people. It's about love of an art form, and the experience of the garment is its own reward.
