Seriously, you'd almost be negligent as any kind of culture worker whose job includes being at the forefront of new currents to *not* at least check 4chan from time to time. I'd analogize it to something like an early '90s East Village or a '50s Tangier of the Internet, a rough place where all kinds of shit gets thrown together and amazing and even important stuff rises up.
