pls help

my hair is thick in a way that the hairs themselves are thing but I have a lot. It has grown to a point now where it curves upwards and outwards because it's touching my shoulders and it looks weird. Long hair doesn't look good on me.

I usually go for a length of right below my chin, and I have it layered. Any suggestions??
