What's /fa/'s opinion on retro camo? I'm mostly interested in flecktarn/alpenflage. Is there a technical name for this kind of militaristic look? Is it just called militaria?

assuming you're talking about surplus OP are you looking for form or function? cause the US desert night parka looks effay as fuck but its thin as fuck, although it has been made into this fishtail parka imho the big red patch looks shit

I'm a fan of alpenflage and flecktarn, although fleck has become a meme near me so don't wear it that much anymore. General rule of thumb is don't wear shit from the country you're in if it's been issued in the past 10 years or you'll look like a stolen valor knob, also personally I wouldn't wear anything more modern out that like end of the 90's.

In terms of just repro military style clothing lots of places do plain black versions of various parkas, the US m65 looks fairly decent in this and in winter you can put the liner in if you really want to
