I think the truth is, one can eat almost any amount of healthy food they feel like and not gain weight. It's worthless calories from junk food that leads to weight gain. You never see overweight vegetarians. Same thing with people eating a traditional Mediterranean diet - they're thin but they eat a lot of good food.

But I mean, we probably each have our own individual biochemistry, and the same food might affect different constitutions in different ways.

Almonds do that to me, too; that's a good example.
