I hate buttons. I'm always very aware that there's only this tiny bit of thread keeping them attached, and every time I button something up, I can feel the tension on that thread.

What's the "proper" way to button something up? Generally I grab the button itself, and push it through the hole. But I've also seen people grab the button and fabric at once and do it that way, seems to put less force on the outer side of the button.

Help me /fa/.
