I can bash together a grid, but it's nothing too special, just the optimal version of the "team kit" or the unofficial uniform for archaeo and palaeo digs, when you're in areas where you don't necessarily have health and safety breathing down your neck and so are forced to wear hi-vis. Certain things people do look great, others not so much, but this picture inspired me, understated, practical, pretty good looking for the style.

I want some gaiters. Probably canvas. Suggestions?

I love my work uniform. Although hardly anybody in my state's parks department is a proper ranger anymore, my uniform is pretty much that of one with its khaki drill trousers and buff coloured shirts. I have a lot of plain ones too, it took a while for the stingy bastards to give me a clothes issue.

I do a few fossil digs as a hobby, and I want to dress the part a little more without going full Jurassic LARP, so I'm looking at options. I'm thinking I might incorporate a bit of British country wear for something slightly different so it doesn't look like I'm trying to ape a particular character or personality. It's a fairly temperate climate, often not too miserable so I think I can get away with not going full modern technical adventure wear top to toe without it looking affected.

Sorry this has ended up a bit of a blogpost, I guess I wanted some inspo and advice? I thought I had a specific question when I started typing this but its run away a bit...
