i suppose i just don't feel confident fully expressing myself in an environment like that where i feel like i have to present myself as a relatively normal person in order to get along with people that i feel are the sort of crowd i fall into

its obv. an issue on my end to do with mental blocks i impose on myself but when the lads you've gotten along with for years aren't really into any of this stuff it's hard to try something out there
