Not sure I agree with this kids sock color choice but the rest of the outfit is neat.

Personally OP, I'd wear these shoes with shorts, or the black denim you have, just try to roll the legs a bit
And don't be afraid to go with something lighter than a denim shirt, like a tshirt, as you said before. In France atm it's too damn hot to even wear something with full sleeves
