I'm not sure man. Zippers are okay, but sometimes they just looks tacky. They can also wear down a lot.

For real though, I just enjoy the kinds of fasteners that look like they are supposed to be there; they're not just there for function but also for visual appeal. Zippers just don't do that for me.
