Pretty decent overview of a couple of high-precusion oscillator technologies. Wish I could get more information on SC-cut quartz; they seem to be common in high-end lab oscillators but not in intro literature to quartz cuts. Jackson labs uses an SC-cut crystal the smoothing circuit for its CSAC oscillator.
