Pretty spot on honestly.

I was never a /pol/ack, but I definitely learned how much impact 4chan had on my preconceptions and understanding of reality, when I had vacations or other time spent away from the screen. I had time to socialize and meet people, which made my grasp of reality and people collide with the one I created through 4chan and my online identity. But they don't co-exist very well, because the reality people construct around the 4chan subculture is not true to that of majority of the outside world.
Normies aren't bad. All black guys aren't bad. Not everyone hates everyone or is a part of some conspiracy. Most people just try to take part in life, with and around everyone else, and get the best of it.

So, when I came back to 4chan, I suddenly realized how silly it all seemed. But alas it was still meant immensely serious (or in an attempt of sarcasm) by all the posters, making it hard to decipher what is really meant and what is not. It impacted my mood and view of the world much more than I was probably aware of, when this place was an active part of my daily life and internet digestion.

With this post, I choose to stay naïve and in good faith, that someone will take a serious gland at this post.

Because I truly do think, that this website which thrives and builds itself around contradictions, falsehoods, truths, metaphysics and counter- and counter-counterculture can have a large impact on your mental health and affection for one another.
Reflect on your digital diet. It seriously affects you -- more than what you might let yourself know.
