It's amazing what little shit can stop a watch movement from properly working. The wear on the edge of the tooth at the 9th of the date wheel is barely visible even at 500x mag, but even this is enough so that the date quickset get stuck at the 9th with the sliding pinion jumping off the tooth's edge.
