Well, isn't that what it essentially is? While some aspects of it (e.g. Jugendstil) are indeed mostly new, a lot of it is mock-old. And while I think archicteure should evolve and try new things, it seems like most humans do indeed have a taste for those "historic" styles, no matter if they are genuine or not. As long as you don't overdo it (e.g. >>13156678 or pic related) and allow for experimentation, I'm fine with it.
