if you want more pomo, don delillo is solid. pynchon is light reading and 2bh not much of a writer at all but v strong, on target humor. john barth is an amazing writer with the sharpest sense of humor ever.

italo calvino is really refreshing. wg sebald is up there with barth, easily one of the very best contemporary authors, melancholy tone. thomas bernhard is fun too - bitter.

for non fic, avoid the pop shit you find in B&N. try manuel delanda if crit theory & cyber shit interests you.
