Thinking of buying a watch from nipland, but the listing says it's been polished and my experience is that the nips prefer overpolishing to under. The photos are all kind of crap (pic related isn't from the listing) but the price is right - it's like 2 grand less than a local seller has the same model - and if the timekeeping rate is trustworthy it seems like it's been serviced as well which is an extra plus since it's a Speedy Reduced. Should I take the risk?

Would love to try those in person and compare the A384 and A386 reissues. Very nearly impulse bought the former from Japan once but I try to keep my drunken purchases to a few hundred at the most.

The alternative I have in mind is the slightly rarer Speedy Reduced variant that has a different dial, sapphire, 100m wr and an actually good bracelet. My wristlet brother Tim Mosso pointed out it pretty much has the same specs as a Daytona too. The new Speedy Pro wears really well but I'm easily influenced and spending too much time has convinced me it's a reddit watch so if I get a Speedy I want it to be a slightly less common variant to satisfy the contrarian in me.

I'm thinking of ordering a cheap Speedy Reduced from Japan, but I'm aware the movement can be a bitch to service so I want to do some diligence. A lot of listings say the watch has been "overhauled", do they usually mean a full service or just polishing?
