I guess it's hard (near impossible) to appreciate the full complexity of some fragrances by just smelling them for a couple seconds on someone.
In that way, if you're not into perfume, you can wear boring shit that just smells nice and gather compliments - if you actually care for OLFACTORY ART, though, you're making things more difficult for yourself by choosing something that might scare off the normies, but you personally enjoy.
