I walked in with a friend, the jewish looking salesman offered the usual array of shitter date JUSTs etc and I asked to try on a sub.
He gave me the waitlist spiel, I showed him my ID and asked if they give priority to people who pay up front, and all of a sudden subs are now in stock and 'lil shlomo in the back is preparing the purchase papers.
I tried it on (2019 black maxi case) told him I'd "discuss with the wife" and walked out.
I honestly was just killing time and walked in the boutique instead of getting lunch since I wasn't hungry.

To me a toolwatch needs a timing function, either a chronograph or a dive bezel, at least 100m of WR, 20 or 22mm lugs because that gives you the most strap and bracelet options and doesn't need any kind of service for at least 5 years when bought new. And when it does need servicing I need to be able to do it myself.
