Is a sinn 104 a shitter? pimped out ETA at least. I eventually want one of those. Will probably skip omega for a rolex when I plan on buying actual luxury

It's more than that, but people have this weird thing where after you buy 3 that it could have been enough for luxury, when that bridge is about 5-6 of my boxes in reality. I guess it will be apparent in the future when I add more gshocks that I am deliberately collecting casio.

Yeah, most of what I collect is going to be quartz. When the handful of cheap mechanicals start to drift off over the years I'll service what I care about and keep the others around if I feel like bringing them back to life. Which isn't going to happen for a long time because they get rotated around a lot, and I doubt a few miyota/'russian/orient movements (pretty much what the rest of the ones I buy will have, maybe a hamilton) will cost me my body parts.
The argument is that it could be more than the watch itself, not worth it, etc. But by the time that comes I will either want it alive because it means something to me, or if designs vastly changed and you can't buy anything resembling it too much it will be cool to have and worth running.

Is there a better watch than the 104 for around 1,300? I think it will be considered an icon down the road
