I remember when LunarCore was gaining traction here back in 2017. Fun times.
I'm not sure exactly why it died the first time, but I remember saving some stuff from those threads. I remember there was also a black anon with one leg who managed to pull off a pretty cool fit.

I think a one issue with Lunar core is that most people attempting it weren't really going far enough with it. Most ideas about Lunar core were just copying fits from alien. Something like OP's image would've been considered too modern. It's also a style that limits itself to colder climates so in the summer it became unviable.
It's still a neat idea though, and I think a return to lunarcore could lay the groundwork for something more interesting. I saw a trailer for a game called Marathon a few months ago that reminded me of it.

You could say techwear is a subcategory of lunarcore for weebs who like that special brand of earthbound future that features ninjas dressed in black synthetic standing around in the rain.

That's the nice part of lunarcore, is that it's very much based around reality, with little "tweeks" or "futuristicky" bits or pieces mixed with very familiar themes and clothes and materials

It's familiar but *different* and if not done overboard, can easily be worn everyday without too much ppl giving you the "wtf is he larping?" Face

What I tell brain ded ppl that come into lunar threads and dont know how to start or dont want to think about fits and themes and materials, is essentially take one futuristic looking piece or 2, and have the rest of your fit be ground in real everyday materials and themes like cargos, plain tees, or mono tone casual sneakers like PF flyers, etc

And you are encouraged to DiY pieces yourself, since alot of lunarstuff isn't sold. it's usually made independently, and paired with random futuristic looking pieces ppl hunt for, Psuedo could talk your ears off about that

Maybe because they wanted you to get an impression of the lighting conditions on the planet, buddy.

>Check this mfa guide so you too can understand Lunarcore.
This is what you call trickle down aesthetics. First you have the source of inspiration, then comes the looks derived from it by the initial content creators, then people on this board see the result, don't fully understand it, repost some of it and dilute and mix it further and further and eventually it ends up on reddit where they make guides about something they haven't got the faintest idea about.
