Does anyone else sometimes think how retarded people were to fall for the Daytona wait list marketing scam started in the 80s? Less than 20 years earlier no one wanted it snd Rolex killed it. And then they bring it back with a Zenith movement, same old steel case, the fucking cope "Cosmograph" on the dial and say that you need to wait before you can buy one, and immediately people fell for it. Do you reckon something like that could happen today? Obviously the Daytona is still going strong and immensely desired but at this point it's going off of the clout built in those years. I'm asking if someone could pull a move like that now with a watch revival of a line no one gave a fuck about?
