Never worn them but they dont look great. And if it's not great it's not worth buying. Current BB is a step up, but only their made in USA non-alpha sized line. There's even better options like J Press or Kamkura as the other anon said, but imo if you're going to pay $120-160 for a basic Oxford you might as well have one custom made from Ratio or Proper Cloth.

From what ive read, even back in the day chinos were lower rise compared to slacks/suit pants. Its not easy to find chinos with a super high rise. But its still good to get them above the hips at least.

The cheapest OCBD's will have shitty collars that don't have the proper shape to frame your face and look appealing. Thats nearly the whole point of the shirt, so a bad one ruins your look and ivy cred.

I was thinking about it, and the J Press OCBD is actually not a bad deal. Companies that outsource, use synthetics, have bad collars/cuts, or just not enough classic designs still charge like $80-100 for their OCBD's. For $50 more you can get one that's cut perfectly and still made in the USA by a quality company. Ive had a bad habit of being cheap, but really with this stuff its better to invest in something that will please you rather than something you might regret.

Although, I just ordered a custom OCBD from Ratio, and that seems like a great deal, especially for MTM. The fabric I got was only $80 (most are $100+). You can choose an unlined "Fitzgerald collar" for the classic big roll look. Its still being made so i cant speak for the quality, but Ive seen guys wearing their shirts and they look really good.
