the problem with recommendations or "holy grail" products is that there is always someone for whom it will not work. your choice may also vary as the offer of skincare products varies between countries and the sticky is pretty old
if you liked hydro boost then cerave pm would be a good choice too if you are not allergic to niacinamide. its often recommended in these threads too
>>18063390
i can add to the recommendations cerave pm or equivalent from cetaphil with niacinamide if you dont have a product with that already
>>18063758
seems like Isntree hyaluronic acid watery sun gel but branded by different company
>>18064267
significant skin damage risk
i used once a simple scrub when using adapalene and it fucked my skin on contact lol
>>18064491
work it up to everyday usage and once you get there, start counting 3 months and report back
>>18064907
overall i would suggest suncreen if you are going out unless you already have spf in your moisturizer
>Besides the classics is there anything new at this point with enough scientific evidence?
post your age, goals, problems (anti aging, acne etc)
>>18065210
>9 Wishes Perfect Ampoule and Serum
damn the inci list on this is great
I would replace 4 & 5 with a single product like moisturizer with niacinamide

probably does the job

thanks for bump

i think salicylic acid and certain if not all retinoids could help you
salicylic acid isnt that harsh and you can always test it by washing it off after a few minutes. extend the time every day and see how it goes. or use it with moisturizer
also check out dr dray or other youtube derms what are their recommendations
>>18068108
you might want to compare ingredients between this and some acne patch product. the latter probably contains some additional actives against acne

idk but post pic someone might help
>>17916695
you can still be healthy desu. try one step at a time. that way you will get used to the new reality and your body wont be shocked with the changes
>>17916761
depends. what do you want to treat? caffeine serums work sometimes, but most eye products are useless irritants
>L'Occitane
funny, I never heard of this company, yet I passed their store in a mall today and noticed them accidentally
>>17916764
its easier to learn ingredients and then look for them in the products
>>17916882
here are pore care tips from previous thread if you have time to watch

nah just hydrating cleanser
>>17917481
I have seen a few creams that have green pigment to negate some of the skin redness but they were for rosacea. never tried them though
>>17917709
agree, sometimes a proper moisturizer can decrease acne just by itself
>>17917800
this >>17917904 but if you are dry also start moisturizer immediately, possibly with niacinamide (like cerave pm moisturizer)
>>17917818
I think this is regarding blue light; there are blue light filters on monitors, as well as glasses. also I saw a cream once that was negating that effect? but dont remember what it was, cornflower maybe
>>17917959
can't find them in EU. tried anything else with success?
>>17917990
>antiperspirant that washes off easily
no such thing I believe, they are designed to stay on skin and be "sweat resistant"
apparently some people use glycolic acid toner for armpits which kills the bacteria but I'd consider it more of a meme. you might find it useful for further research though

i used azelaic acid 20%, benzoyl peroxide 10% and effaclar duo between january and june whenever i had pimples/cysts. good stuff.
then i stopped in june, learned about skincare in general. stopped using soap, bought cerave moisturizer with spf and started using retinol. at some point i had no problems for ~3 weeks straight, not even a single whitehead. was pretty surprised. between june and now I only had like 2 large bois forming that were not visible yet. was fully expecting 3rd eye (one of them was on my forehead) in coming days but somehow... it was gone within a week.
this simple routine seems preventing these (for me at least). there is no need for ad hoc/post mortem products anymore. i also got prescribed epiduo forte 2 months ago which probably does the job as well.
>>17875102
moisturizer with spf like cerave
retinoid like cerave retinol resurfacing serum or adapalene if you are in US
you can also check for la roche posay equivalents of these.
check reviews for people that have issues/sensitive skin. might consider mineral spf if needed as they stay on your skin rather than chemical filters that get absorbed into the skin.
i also like la roche posay cicaplast baume b5+, less burning than neutrogena fragrance free after exfoliating and/or retinoids
>>17875128
i dont think toner is essential anymore, i think it was used to prepare your skin for next steps (ph wise). nowadays you have low ph cleansers. i think toners belong now to "treating" part of skincare, now used to either moisturize or apply AHA/BHA (most common are 2% BHA toners or 7% glycolic acid toners). i think there was anon that used rice toner and it made wonders for him tho.
>>17875170
usually leave it until pm or am next day. i like using oil free moisturizer for am and a heavier one for pm.
>>17876042
quite random, explain?
>>17876074
good diet and probs lotion. usually genetics come into play as well. we wouldnt be here otherwise.
