This is partially the reason. Jeans (especially dark selvage ones) were Hipster-fied and are part of the uniform, in slim-to-skinny fit, of every man in their Mid '30s in tech/beer/offices who dresses as if it is 2014. So the fatter and trendier zoom zooms go to Joggers instead.

It's kinda like how slacks got associated with old men.

All things being said, what jeans there are that are popular are the opposite. Mass produced, lighter washed, elastane'd to allow comfiness and FUPAs.

I impulse bought Jacomo de Jacomo. I like the notes and gothic reputation it has. Is it Bogart tier in power, or more moderate?

Also, how exactly do you tell if a frag has gone bad? I got a bottle of Moods by Krizia for Xmas, but something seems a little off about it. It doesn't smell bad per se, but it seems hollowed out and echo-y, a hint of spice and nothing. Not sour though.

I got the tryhard don't wear it to class element. I'm just wondering if my one navy suit and brown oxfords will be all I need, or if I need to get at least one more and black oxfords to round it out.

Go for something dark, wool, and starter-level from a local mom and pop menswear store. Preferably on sale. The salesmen will be pushy but know their shit. Make sure the shoulders and length are to par, and enjoy.

Don't buy shoes, shirts and accessories though. You'll be gypped by them.

He dresses like a model in an old Ralph Lauren catalogue. But he is not that kind of White Masculine ideal.

It's just a way they compete with one another and conform with one another. Men have cars and muscles and titles, women have minute details of fashion. It's like many of their body image issues, female inspired, female enforced standards.

Correct.

You're the exception to the rule, I'd say. Go for it. Music in general allows more exceptions as a profession.

$800 for a decent starter suit on sale. Followed buy about $280ish for a pair of AE Oxfords on sale.

I'm going to lawfag school in a year (Max two if this cycle doesn't work out). So they will be used.
