Pretty much renounces any sort of influence punk had on his collections.

He also talks about how he was never into his cover band, describing it as something he was, "nudged into doing, it wasn't really my thing."
Now, I don't know about you, but look at this studio. Does this look like someone who's not into that culture at all? Add this in with the STLTH and AFFA lines, and all the documentation of Jun hanging out with punks and such, and I think it's just a straight up lie. You don't just go around and pretend to do that sort of stuff, for years of your life, and then say, "Well I was never into it." I think he had to enjoy some of it, you know? My favorite collection is SCAB, so you can see why this would cause a dilemma for me.

Yeah, I agree with what you just said. That interview in Aïe magazine really laid it all out there. He's not interesting in appealing to "rebels" anymore. He doesn't want the audience of struggling students and young adults who look up to him as an idol, hoping one day they'll be able to accomplish at least a quarter of what he's done. He's going where the money is, which as you totally said, is trendiness. Can't blame him, but I certainly don't like it. Dude did his "arty" collections. He made his mark. Probably just doesn't give a fuck anymore. Probably just wants to retire in style, at a young age, and hang with his kid.
