Ontario here, I bought $300 boots on there before from a seller from California 2 years ago. Idk if customs rules or enforcement has changed since then (I've only bought within Canada since because of exchange rates) but I asked him to mark it as a gift so I don't get charged border fees. Got the package a week and some days later no fees, no hitches. Did that several times as well from Japanese proxies who were super helpful.

The problem is if the package gets lost then you're fucked. As a side note, if they ship via UPS you ALWAYS get charged extra fees in my experience.
