subcultures are created by men. Vast majority of the subculture's material would be made by men as well.

Women only cling on to it for the men and social aspect. Because women can't do much besides paint their faces and talk, anyhow.

With the advent of the internet, men have gone their own ways and can be as unique and independent as ever before- they no longer have to dress up to stick out from the people in their towns because the internet is a lot bigger, removing any need for actual IRL tribalism.

When the men are gone, the subculture dies.

But with the women, it's always been that way. It's like cling some edgy alt girl's Instagram, claims to like metal etc but is still subcribed to kylie jenner and yabbers on about the same normie stuff regular girls talk about. Stacies in black.

Remember in high school, the edgy kids all gathered in one group? A few emo and scene kids, the metal heads with long hair and metallica t shirts, stoners etc etc?

All the same. It's like going to a goth music festival and it's a bunch of people fucking off in the middle of a field, picnicking and playing with water guns or what ever. Reddit tier normies, no different from a cosplay con or what the fuck ever.

It's the way things are and we've moved on, I suppose.
