what does /fa think of lip injections?

someone is offering to get me something in the $500 range for my bday
instead of an iphone or plane tix im thinking getting tear trough fillers under my eyes since i have genetic hollows/lines under my eyes that no concealer covers no matter what

but i was talking to a couple of ppl and they say it would look bad cause im only 21 (turning 22). they said it would look something like lindsay lohan which i highly doubt. told me to get lip injections instead.
but i dont want to look too "ethnic"- which im scared lip injections would do

i was thinking maybe get the dr to inject half a 1cc syringe of restalyne in tear troughs and use rest for my upper lip or nasiolabial folds (if there is any left)
so yeah its either tear trough or lips....which would be a better investment?
