It's been awhile since I've followed a trend.

I feel like I've done it all from hypebeast wearing Supreme and whatever flavor of the month sneaker was released, moved from that to Hedi Slimane SLP and old Dior seasons, then I came to have an appreciation of Japanese "punk" based brands. As of late I've been collecting UC and mixing it with SLP pieces.

If I had to say a few things if you're just starting out; follow designers and their work whether that be looking at runway or editorials more so over people that can style pieces well. Runways and editorials give a view of what the designer's "fantasy" is.

As well as don't be afraid to test out looks; from personal experience it took a solid 3 years or so before I felt comfortable with where my style and wardrobe was then I proceeded to build off of that.

And most of all, have fun with this. It's a hobby at the end of the day.

I enjoy his more casual approach to fashion and the way he portrays life in japan. Don't think anybody thinks of him as a guy with supreme knowledge of fashion

Ken doesn't dress well and he doesn't know much about fashion. He is a hypebeast who went from gucci tracksuits to busting in his pants over how great japanese culture and the fashion scene. Japan number one, check out these curated pieces, this is the type of shit you can only find here in japan, some notice some know this. Reeled everyone in with his first few videos because he featured coveted pieces and now all he does is say vague shit about fashion as if he has supreme knowledge, guy is like avery tier without the fagginess and actual knowledge.

True

That Fear of God Supreme distressed jean hypebeast shit in 2015 - 2017 was cancer

Sad to say, I still see people dressed like that where I live

There’s actually a lot of supreme stuff I like. The culture behind supreme is god awful though and I really wouldn’t want to associate with it.

Been looking through the supreme archive for more understated pieces and its shocking how different supreme used to be. pic related is f/w 2011. all of these jackets are in normal wearable colors and there's barely any logos. I've always though that new supreme seasons look like tacky thriftstore garbage and its even more apparent compared to how they used to be. what happeneD?

All this shit is gaudy as fuck, ugly as fuck, and completely uninspired.
Also, you do realize that while this isn't Supreme or Bape or other hypebeast garbage, it's meant to mimic those brands and appear expensive.
If you wear this shit in public then u gay!

Was it a mistake copping these? I genuinely like the design and I assume they’ll keep value throughout the years, but I haven’t worn them that much since I don’t want to look like one of those “DUDE,SUPREME BRO!!” Type people

That's fine but there should be a balance. I want people to geek out about fashion but ultimately most people just want to look good and outside of utility that's what clothing should be about. You don't need to pay six or nine hundred dollars for a pair of Saint Laurent jeans to feel like you look good. To reiterate, that's just something I noticed about male centric fashion groups and boards, they're all about rare Japanese denim and collecting Rick Owens pieces, or waiting in line to buy a limited supreme hoodie. They seem not to focus on whether the clothing looks good or what makes an outfit look good. On the other I see women loving clothing or outfits from a wide range. That twenty dollar dress from target gets just as much love as the Chanel handbag.

jesus christ lurk for 2+ years before you even attempt to make assertions like that.

Balenciaga hopped on the trend in 04

Supreme had that fox racing collab in like what? 2017?

Streetwear wise rn it's all about nu-workwear/western wear. Just look at the rise of hiking boots, cargo pants and work pants (like actual hammer loop, double knee work pants).

If you want a 'proper' i.e. armoured jacket, and you like the belstaff leathers. Belstaff have a 'pure motorcycle range that have elbow and shoulder protection.
