I'm not sure how else to style a shirt, denim, cardigan and hoodie/sweater

What would you recommend to improve this fit?

I find I didn't like most of what Knomadic/Daniel Patrick puts out because he makes pretty much everything out of either leather or french terry, but after spending some time in the shop I was at I ended up finding two pieces that I actually quite liked

In terms of what you get vs what you pay the quality could be a bit higher, though.

I'm sorry you feel that way man. I own mainline rick and julius pieces too and can compare them by hand but I don't feel the same way about knomadic as you do.

I wasn't trying to start an argument, we've all heard this tired debate dozens of times before around here and it isn't any more interesting or informative now than it was years ago, all it does currently is appeal to people's sense of brand elitism and ego.

Furthermore, you're creating a misleading strawman argument by implying knomadic is at all similar in any respect, whether it be business size, construction quality, price, or really any aspect of the brand to that of Zara when that isn't even vaguely true. Knomadic is small and all of their garments are made in LA by fairly paid workers.

If you want to call them derivative, you're welcome to hold that opinion, but at least cite some reasonable examples if you wish to do so and be taken seriously.

Zara is most well known nowadays for their association to cheap child labor, and as a result any brand that is brought up in association with or comparison to zara potentially incurs the assumption that said brand also relies on cheap labor of similar quality, hence why I made I made the wage/strawman point.

Why does the idea of "cheap goth ninja" even worry you?

Don't do it, the store I work at has these and they are absolutely terrible quality, worse than any nike shoe I've ever owned.

Durability is a form of quality, but not all things of quality involve durability

it's just one of the things people naturally associate with the word though, most items outside of the fashion world described as high quality are usually rugged and durable.

It's been proven that zara does shamelessly imitate popular signature designer pieces, but that's only one of the reasons why people around here tend to avoid zara.

Other reasons include frequent use of poor textiles in high ratios such as acrylic and charging high premiums despite the fact, the brand's association with child labor, and generally poor construction quality.

Well, they apply to a person who's looking to create a specific silhouette. When it comes to adding weight to the foot area, the geobasket is really a great sneaker. They are a really noticeable statement piece too, and can really add a bit of flare to a fit that works within the boundaries of the style so as to not be too flamboyant.

This fit in particular is a good example, the chunkiness of the shoe mirrors the chunkiness of the upper half. It's really easy to mess up an oversized/exaggerated silhouette by having shoes that are too slim or small, creating a bad tapering effect on the lower half.

thats my 2c at least.

No dude, it's one thing to make your own take on a good piece or style, and it's another thing to basically take a signature designer piece and remove the tag or brand like zara does with some pieces.

I think you could get the exact same message across with the phrase "good bye halcyon days"

It's also a well known phrase that means basically the exact same thing

I don't really get it man, you've got loose and drapey up top to kinda get a goth ninja vibe, but the pants and runners are kinda tech which is usually structured and controlled, two very opposite styles in terms of silhouette and form

I feel like this needs chunkier sneakers. All of the other pieces are loose and flare out from the body a bit but the sneakers are seamless and tight to your ankle, doesn't mimic the rest of the fit.
