Thanks for that

I appreciate it. The 4 resistors (2 + the wires) were put on by me when practising my soldering skills.

How is it a clock?

The big component is a magnetic switch thing, from what i remember seeing in some videos. How does that have anything to do with a clock?

Found this in a family members box 'o junk.

What is it, or what does it do.

Looking for a new soldering station. Ideally something with hot air, digital and soldering iron. Ideally would like it to have the ability to use hot tweezers and for it to be a pretty cheap unit.

>>910882
Didn't even realise that was there.

Fancy paypalling me $20? I've got to feed my kids.

I can't seem to see with my own eye what traces are for what. Doesn't help that there is no schematic out there either.

I posted here before.

I've got a Mixamp by Astro gaming. Problem is that I'm a fucktard and was a bit too aggressive with it, resulting in damaged pads. Its the data - and data + pads that are removed from the board. It's a shame it isnt power or ground where I'd be able to easily jump it onto a visible trace.

Where could I hook the data + and data - to? Or how can i find where without a multimeter?

m8 have u heard of fusion cores? They'd be perfect for this.

Pretty sure its a nicad 14.4v bosch battery.

I was ideally hoping a instant fix as I want to use it today.

Any way to spark one of these back to life with minimal hardware? I've not got another pack nor have I got a multimeter or large caps...

Because the walls aren't level, I'm going to cut a hole in the hall. just big enough to de-solder the pipes and fit pic related.

Is there anything wrong with getting a cheapy £5-6 one of these? Because they are pretty costly in screwfix (£19.99)

I'm just going to put a coupler and switch to a plastic pipe as opposed to faff about with soldering again.
Additionally I'm currently drilling through the walls to install the shower screen. I've bought a brand new diamond bit (Ebauer) but it seems to be taking a while.

The bit is dry or wet suited, it was only £16.99 so it's not as good as a macrist. But still it takes a hile to chop through. I'm unsure if the drill is too fast or slow, and what pressure to apply. :( Taken a few hours to drill 8 holes y'see.

Not a americunt, I'm a britbong our bathrooms aren't against the closets of other bedrooms. It is accessible however from a wall on the landing

I did the plumbing, but there was no way for me to get enough room to put the dome on the elbow joints. The walls are pretty uneaven so the one thread is less visable than the other by a few mil.

>>862363
This looks promising, but i'd need male and female ends.

The bar shower tap is a female, that goes onto the offset elbow that is a male.

I've got a problem with my bathroom.

The tiles on the walls are too thick for me to use the supplied dome cover cap thing for the elbow joints that come out of the wall. What the f do I do?

I'd build it into a floor lamp. I'm thinking stainless shade and base.

Planning is bullshit.

My m8's mum had a little country farm that needed to have mains electrics fitted. The total cost would have been £30k or something like that

Also there was a program here in britbongland about people building houses without planning and being ordered to pull 'em down. Fucking pathetic.

If its built to regulations, is safe, on your own land, isn't obstructing anyone view or causing any major problems, why even bother?

One chap sold his house to build a eco friendly 0 emission house out in the county up the road. Nobody to see for miles. He built half of it after getting a visit by the local council. He was ordered to pull it down, but some bats had moved in. Bats y'see are protected under EU law and it's a finable and jailable offence to disturb bats and their homes. He was in a catch 22. Either get fined for not pulling the house down, or getting fined for disturbing the bats home. Fuck gubermenht.

Problem with my earphones.....

I desoldered the wires on my earphones, and I soldered them back on and now my phones don't work.

What could have gone wrong? I made sure to limit heat by being quick....

Any ideas?

A shitty visual diagram of my earphones...

Thanks for letting me know that.

I just had a quick read, and I wanted to ask, I should be safe, providing I find pallets with the correct stamps?

I can't seem to find any "cheap" wood to clad the walls with y'see.

Still out in the dark when it comes to the whole concrete flooring thing though.

I'm planning to completely make my basement a habitable area. Ideally into a flat.

I want to do it on a next to nothing budget using up-cycled shit, pallets etc.

Im going for a rustic look, I want bare minimal rustic and expensive look.

The basement has been partially converted in terms of floor has been poured, although I want a polished concrete, galvanized steel electric pipes, wood walls etc.

Inspo thread? Also discussion on above topics, ideas etc?

I'd like to know more about polished concrete floors.

problem with bathroom renovation shit.

I've recently had to pull the tiles off the walls as the "pro" tiler did a shit job, im actually confident I can do a better one.

I've decided to get rid of the Jacuzzi and get a shower instead... Problem is the tray, I got a large 1100x800mm tray but I forgot one problem. The window, the fucktards who installed it didn't listen to what we were sayin' and not im having problems. Basically there arent many ways to style the room, I've drawn a possible diagram, (not to scale). I put the tray where it is but the length of it means that its not going to make the bathroom spacy, airy and quite frankly when the door is opened it will be like a tunnel with the screen there.

I wanted to move it where the sink was going to go (where the jacuzzi is currently) But the window means i wont be able to put the screen there as there wont be enough space and the screen will be coming over the window space, if you understand what im saying...

What can i do?

I don't plan on sticking anything in the sockets. Haha. Although this is now fixed, I'd still like to pick one up as they seem they'd come in handy now and again.

>> No.731021 [View]

I think i've fixed it.

My soldering isn't the best, probably doesn't help that im using a shitty soldering iron and solder. I did have a ball of solder that was a bit too high up on the usb connector, probably didn't use enough flux or w/e. Anyway, the copper braid and some flux seems to have fixed my issue. I hope.

Funny thing was that the unit was working after I soldered the usb connector back down, about a hour or so later, it shut off.

Why's that?
