you can only do small pieces before they burn out & they don't get as hot as desk top or wall unit
so the brands don't tend to be permanent
they will usually fade out in a year or two

ok been thinking about making a laser with burning capabilities
have 2 dvd drives from old pcs & 1 from a dvd player

the heat thing with plaster really isn't that big of a deal / it doesn't get that hot
but it's ridged & kind of hard to remove & will stick to hair

sand wont give you shit for detail

alginate is you best choice for detail
it wont hold up as/for a long term mold
but it's still the best way to go for your og mold

you don't want to use plaster
use alginate / dental imprecision cream

can get for any dental supply house or on ebay
alginate will not stick to hair
but go ahead & use some vaseline since you have a lot of facial hair / it will help
it will need something like a plaster backing so it'll keep its shape

i have no idea about aluminum casting
but you can fill the alginate cast / mold with plaster then make a silicone mold of the plaster cast
silicon should be able to handle the heat from the melted aluminum

1. Even thought 99.9% of the crap you read refer to the plants as bonsais the word actually refers to the pot & not the plant
2. Pruning a plant to look like a bonsai doesn't make it a bonsai

There's a lot more to it them that
Most of what you see for sale as bonsais are nothing more than a cutting or seedling in a small pot & not a true bonsai
Growing a plant/tree in a small pot will stun its growth keeping in small

A true bonsai plant has the tap root removed
Thus making the roots grow out instead of down
That's why they can be grown in shallow pots

the end result will be like if you freeze dried it

if you be to cheap to do that
go to a 99cent store & get a gal of ammonia & soak it in the ammonia for about a week+ them posse it the way you want it & let it dry
