So he dips it in water every few seconds. You know nothing of metal working. And destroy the edge? No, hitting it on things destroys the edge. Over heating just makes it brittle.

That video was awful and you should feel bad for sharing it.

If you need to ask ANY of that, then you do not have anywhere near the ability to do this yourself. This is not a drag and drop operation. Considering it's a CAD file to begin with you would need to do plenty of modifying to the drawing just to be able to toolpath it.

>Get block of wood as wide as and .5 inch deeper than the bowl needs to be
>Make a mold with the would, cut it, carve it, burn it, whatever
>Get some aluminum sheet metal
>Pound the fuck out of it with a hammer into the die
You'll need to do some math to figure it out though but it really shouldn't take more than a few hours and will cost less than $30.If a bunch of ten year olds can do it at summer camp, so can you.

Fold the part you need shortened as if you were rolling the headphones up, then electric tape the fuck out of it.
>pic semi-related
coil it like that then cover the whole bundle in tap and extend it up the both sides of the wire.

Foam earplugs. Seriously. leave them in for like 5 minutes then pull them out. Should clean out almost all the wax.

Brass or copper. Don't use steel or you'll scratch the fuck out of the part. But if you don't mind that, then yeah, power wire wheel the fuck out of it.

>I stopped using shampoo altogether; My hair never looked or felt better

This.
>hardly ever use shampoo, maybe twice a month, usually just kinda rinse it out.
>Always regret shampooing it because it makes my hair all fucking poofy because there's no oil to weigh it down
>mfw the lady I go to get it trimmed every now and then says I have the healthiest, strongest hair she's ever seen
It also cured my dandruff.

They make tabletop mills. As long as all you're doing is engraving, you should be able to find a decent one for your budget.

Also, 5X5mm? Are you sure that's not supped to be centimetres or something?

And what's wrong with HAAS? They're great machines and use a simple, easy to use controller.

\You're forgetting the part where he's a beginner. He has enough to worry about without dealing with that kind of crap. God have mercy if he's forced to use a non-HAAS controller for the first time.

I would not suggest doing this as a first project, you'll tear your hair out trying to figure out how to hold it.

Something like this would be a better alternative. Just use stock thicker than the part itself so you can do the corners.

Practice, practice, practice
Don't put your elbow on they table and drag it across like so many people say to do, you want no contact at all except for your feet to the floor and your hand on the stinger.
Clean the everliving fuck out of your welds, this is the difference between pass and fail if you do any kind of test plates in the class.
Buy your own gloves if a personal pair is not provided, this is mandatory.
Ideally buy your own helmet too, they're not that expensive.

If I think of any more I'll post them.

>He actually thinks scouts follow that
Go work at a summer camp, watch how many troops cut down young trees for walking sticks instead of just picking one up off the ground. I had at least one I needed to bitch at every week for that shit.

>get flashed regularly
Then you are either stupid, careless, or don't know when to go complain about a serious issue to your foreman. Most likely all three based on the rest of your post. And if you didn't feel the need to take off you weren't flashed that bad.

I just googled it and yeah it looks like it has all those. And yeah it is. I would honestly just recommend using metal and a file. Go slow, go in one direction.

You can carve them, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you are very good with a knife already. Also wood is affected by a shitload more than metal is. You can measure it one day and come back the next to find it off by 1/16". Metal doesn't do that.
