Hey /DIY/. I'm a first time poster here from /ck/. I had just bought a plain ol' soccer mom Ford van. I had already bought a 1000ish unique/random stickers from the internet. I want to cover the car to the point you couldn't tell the original color of the car.

How do I go about this? Just wash the car and apply stickers? Should I apply some finish or wax before or after?

Where I live there is reverse osmosis and otherwise filtered water filtered water on tap at grocery stores. Try to find one (not the meme machines that don't actually filter) and bring a big glass bottle with you when you go shopping. Protip: if you don't want to spend $13 for a gallon bottle, just buy a gallon of apple juice that comes in a glass bottle and reuse that. I think I ended up spending 5 dollars for one of those plus I got apple juice.
These days I have a carbon filter at the apartment and drink from water fountains while I'm out and about based on taste. If it tastes like a swimming pool or sediment I stop drinking promptly.
Regardless of trace toxins in these waters, you ought to always be able to rely on your kidneys. Water supports kidney function.

I have Roces t403, 100mm wheels. They are very strong. After 2 years only that rivet broke. I had K2 mach 90 before, and the frame broke in 2 months, with just driving fast. The parts I have ordered are original ones, got new wheels, 4 brakes, new straps and those rivets.

Im thinking if like a shoe repair shop will have rivet press or something like it, to do it. I will check tomorrow if they can do it.

Hello,
I need to fix my inline skates, as one of the parts broke. I have bought some kind of rivet, where I need to use some kind of press. In with shop I would be able to do it ? Or should I buy the proper tool ? Or should I just hammer it ?

My gaming related background, apart from my CV was one of the reasons people there thought i would be suitable for this job there. At the end, (around 4 months, they rejected me since 1 person there - one of the 2 persons in charge of that department) thought my ability to create 'awareness" is not high enough.

Hi dear /diy/,

So i moved to Taipei Taiwan and should work for Gigabyte.. After i arrived there i had endless interviews, contract negotiations and whatnot.

At the end, AFTER i arrived they told me that they have to reject me since they are unsure if i am able to create "awareness" so i thought... what would /diy/ do and came up with this...

I want to start my own small company, offering services or products based on my somewhat limited diy skills. Problem is I don't have any type of trade / technical education, only some semi-pro experience in woodworking, fiberglass, styrofoam carving/castings, sanding and maybe few others related (used to work for a ultralight plane factory before it went broke).

What I do have is: 2 medium sized garages with workbenches and power outlets/running water, basic powertools and lotsa ordinary tools, sanding machines including stationary high power disc sander, vises, hand soldering iron, mounted anvil and probably alot more minor tools/equipment. Also have welding gear, but no know-how.

For the context, I live in a small town in central Europe and don't want to move out. I can invest some money into this, up to 1k euro I guess. I had already run a small company (translating and language services, I still do this for living but the options are limited) so I am not afraid of any legal stuff and paperwork.

Pic possibly related.

Hey guys
I have recently come across a great DIY online site builder called Webzai (www.webzai.com) It has some very nice free templates. It has a bit of a learning curve to it but once you get the hang of it it’s great.
