here is a hand i finished for someone. the parts i used for my hand are based on actual bones in your hand and i tried my best to replicate the placement. for the finished hand i just used whatever scrap was available to me which gave it a very funny look to it.

anyway if you guys are here tomoro i'll post what i accomplished good or bad. since this snake is my first ever "piece" i'm using the experience to judge if i have what it takes to maybe make a little money on the side with my own time and resources. hope i see you guys

back to scales. the scales around the eyes i needed to get absolutely correct. the arrangement is based on a cobras scales. i must've redone the eyes maybe 6-7 times to get it just right.

at this point i was very excited because i did not know if using teeth would've been a good idea. but this shot made me think exactly of being threatened by a snake before it struck

here are yellow screws which i used for the upper fangs. i put them in a vice side by side and hit em with a mallet until i got just the right curve then tacked em on.

for the teeth i found some boxes of old nails and screws. i thought maybe to use old drill bits because that would be cool as fuck but then i thought that i would like to bend the teeth in the classic curved back style of fangs. drill bits don't bend they snap so that idea was shot. this is the bottom jaw

at this point in the build i came across a big decision. my original plan was to make the head but with the mouth in the closed position possibly with the just the tongue jutting out to indicate it was testing the air. but after talking to colleagues they pushed me to go for teeth in a position of threat or attack….which lead me to wonder how i would accomplish teeth
