On second thought I just noticed his age. Dagorhir weapons may be a bit robust for a 10 year old.

Pic related, my main two words and a large shield.

Look up dagorhir. Cheap easy to make foam weapons.

I took a small PLC course while getting my Maintenence Mechanic certification and loved it.

Anybody know of any 3rd party PLC software? I want to build my own trainer, but I don't want to spend the $5000 licensing fee on the Rockwell software

You can do something pretty cool with them, but first you need 1 ton of imitation crab meat. Come back when you have that.

I always wanted to dig a good hole when I was a kid, but my back yard is all clay.

Closest I ever got was last year when I was digging the clay out for my dad's garden. It took me 8 hours but I got a 7'x13'x2' hole.

Look into Neff Bubble houses. They're basically made by inflating a large balloon, spraying concrete on the balloon, adding re-bar to support the structure, then spraying another layer of concrete. They're incredibly resistant to natural disasters.

I'm currently planning to use one of these to do something similar to your idea because I've wanted a Hobbit Hole since I was in junior high.

Don't use a trip and they wont ever know it's you again.

And trust me it, it works. I was gonna buy a prebuilt HP and went to ask them to compare two models. Everybody bombards the thread telling me to build my own. I then told them I have no knowledge of building a PC and they hooked me up with good tips.

Of course your results may differ, but it worked once and might work again since /g/ is somewhat predictable.

Of course you could just go and ask for help, but you might be more likely to be made fun of. I think they liked helping me because I listened to them when they told me I was wrong.

/g/ knows alot about this, but you have to know how to ask them the right way.

Step one is to go and say you want to buy a new prebuilt computer, but you're not sure if it's good enough for gaming.

Step two is to wait for a couple people to tell you it'd be better/cheaper to build it yourself.

Step 3 is to tell them you want to do this, but have no idea what you're doing.

use a material with more give. I use a very light potting soil, but you some people even use hay.

I've been wanting something similar. So far my best idea has been to build a neff bubble house (NBH) and cover it with dirt, then lay down a layer of grass to prevent soil erosion.

A NBH is constructed by building a large dome shaped balloon and spraying concrete onto it. You then reinforce the concrete with rebar and spray another layer of concrete over the top of this.

It should be able to support a lot of weight thanks to the dome shape and it has the added benefit of being incredibly resistant to natural disasters.

I've got a lot of ideas and I've been meaning to post them on /diy/, but I haven't been able to get my lazy butt to commit them to paper.

I dunno about that. I've heard of a lot of people who've done it. I can't think of anything else that could be used to properly bend the cut pieces of metal into the correct shapes short of using machines that I do not have access to.

Fuck no. That's my anvil.

When spring and summer come next year I'm going to use it to turn sheet metal into a suit of lorica segmentata.
