I have one of these. after a couple of months, the blade is still sharp enough to shave with. I can not recommend this enough.

do you have access to power tools or will this be by hand?

I typically use that kind of cutting board in my woodshop for other products.

if you have access to sheet metal, a plasma cutter and a welder, you can make what i made for my sister last year. i made her a chanuka card by plasma cutting the message into the sheet metal and the welded that to a horseshoe. she loved the idea of a permanent card and it is ultra easy.

holy shit this is the thread that my past idea will finally work for.

get this: mobile salad bar.

have the cart with ice on the bottom so that the bowls stay cool. the bowls will contain all of the ingredients and people will say what they want and you'll mix it all in a paper bowl or plate or something. you charge based on how much they want of each ingredient, and the raw ingredients are quite cheap depending on were you get them and if you can get a good connection with the local grocer.
