Interesting. I'm thinking a large mobile chicken coup without the bottom, so you could stick the coup over whatever plant is bothering you, and in a few days/weeks it will be dead and never grow again.
Yeah that's a good idea, we just always had a fairly spread out garden and it was easier to keep the chickens away.

But seriously man, fuck turkeys.

Uuuh... girlfriend has been nagging a bit lately, she's just one room over complaining I should get off the computer and come to bed.. what's a good fix for complaining women? Didn't they say WD-40 and duct tape can fix anything?

>Let your chickens out during the day

Lol not if you want a garden. Those fuckers will ear everything up.

What we used to do was just have an open enclosure for the day and a shed in the enclosure, and all the chicken went into the shed at night and we'd lock them up. Only times we ever lost any was when we forgot to lock them up and foxes got in at night. Mind you, i'm in Australia, no real predators during the day. And foxes are nothing a compound bow, water tank and thermos of coffee can't fix.

Only thing you really need to know with chickens is do not, and I can't stress this enough; DO NOT put a sex crazed turkey in with your chickens.

Yep, my stepdad just lost 80k cause a client was screwing money out of his business, and went bankrupt before paying anyone. You want to be big before you do the big jobs, and it can be a giant fucking gamble to go into debt.

As for the games stores - from what i've seen, all but the biggest retail stores scrape by on a tiny margin to stay competitive - in the case of laptops i know stores that lose money, and have to sell accessories just to turn a profit. Retail is always risky.

Now, hospitality it a dream if it's set up right, i've probably been working in it for 5 years now - not long, but i've always been involved on the financial side of things, and i've seen that the single most important thing in a cafe is your staff. Especially if you want to sit back and watch money come in - you need a damn reliable manager, and they are ridiculously hard to come across.

>>40332
This sounds like a risky idea, apart from the live music - sure it's good to have cheap products, but you don't want your business associated with being shitty, because that's the fastest way to lose customers. A variety is best, and especially with the coffee market being so saturated and everyone being a self-proclaimed connoisseur on the subject, it pays to have good coffee. Cheap, decent tasting coffee in a good location will basically bring money flooding through the doors.

As for me, i'm studying robotics and mechatronics/comp sci, so I plan to work for a maximum of 10 years (preferably less, but i will need experience), possibly do a part time business degree in the meantime, and start my own company - absolutely no idea what in yet, my studies are so broad, but i'm sure there'll be a niche. Anyone know what sorta shit you can do with my degree?

In general though, cars just seem ridiculously cheap there. For a (probably bad) example, a friend of mine wants to get a 2008 mustang - her it'll cost about 70-80k, but if he buys it, imports it and gets it covnerted from america, it'll cost him about... 30k.
How much would a basic universal thing like... iono, a new camry cost?

Holy fuck, are cars really that cheap in America?

If you want to do blueprints, get a good 2d draft program - draftsight is awesome and easy to use - and just fiddle with them. Dimensioning and hatching and all that is easy in it.

Jesus I hate that guy. So long as you're using his advice, make sure you add whey to everything, and if anything tastes good, spit it out. Also skateboard squats.

OP, you want to make a power cage, that you can do squats, deadlifts, bench, overhead press and pullups for the basics, this is all you'll need to do until you put on some decent strength.
http://redeye.co30.com/rack.html
Is an example of a power cage you could make.

As for a bar and weights, nothing is going to substitute a proper 45lb bar and some bumper plates, but they're prohibitively expensive if you're not using them 3+ times a week. If you find some kind of thick, metal bar you could either use concrete like has been mentioned, or just fill some paint buckets with rocks and shit and hang them off, and slowly progress by adding more rocks/paint buckets.

>>>/fit/ read the sticky here for good advice on getting muscle

Getting "big" and "ripped" are exactly the same for beginners. Both require you to initially eat lots and progressively load weights to facilitate increased strength and hypertrophy. Getting "shredded" simply means you cut down the fat once you've gotten to a certain level (read: you look in a mirror and realise that you're getting fat), whereas getting "big" can mean either getting fat and increasing your strength like a powerlifter (i.e. not cutting and continue bulking instead) or taking a shit tonne of steroids and looking like ronnie coleman.

It's 1am and i've had a few beers, so just tell me if something i've said doesn't make any sense.

>> No.35351 [View]

Technically should be possible with an arduino (or your microcontroller of choice), a bunch of rangefinders, a shit tonne of leds and a working knowledge of C++ (or your microcontroller of choice's language)

Looks like a fun project though.

NO THE SIGNAL IS INVERTED BECAUSE IT'S SHAPED DIFFERENTLY

Protip - there's no inverting amp, therefore the signal is the same. His only possible worry is very slightly diminished quality due to small connection area.

Nice. There was a massive lathe going near me for like AUD$500, but I had no way of getting it back, or anywhere to put it. Sad days.
