Crochet or knitting? I've honestly never done a sweater because it just seemed so difficult. Ravelry seems pretty sparse as far as pullovers go, I might need to buy a book from the store or look in the library. I'll post some scans if I end up getting one.

Of glass?! it's mostly silica, which has a melting point of about 1410 degrees celcius. The other stuff you mix in will raise or lower the melting point

crochet master race.

But there are some things you can only do with knitting, so it makes sense to learn both.

2: when you're starting a new ball of yarn, pull the end out from the center, to prevent tangling.

I'll post some tips with photos, since I'd rather do that than calculus assignment.
number one:
when you are buying yarn for a project, make sure you check the lot number on the label. If you don't, the colours will be slightly off.

okay, try what you see in the first bit of the video, then look for one on "purling" and practice switching back and forth. you'll probably pick it up pretty quickly. Sorry about the second half of the video, it's some dumb hipster shit, do not watch.

you're probably going to want to start with a dishcloth or something. The good thing is, you can practise with the same yarn as many times as you want, and if you've bought something nice you're gonna want to unravel it and re-use it, since your first project won't be perfect.

I find threadbanger to be pretty good for tutorials overall, but you may need to pause and rewind to get started. Knitting is really easy once you get the basic stitches, I think you're gonna love it! good luck anon.

I can give you some more really basic tips if you've never worked with yarn before, but how much experience do you have?

Age: 18
Latest project: A crocheted swimsuit
Project you want to do next: babby's first wood carving
Occupation/degree: BSc, Biochemistry
A brief explanation of things you've learned from /diy/: Holy shit those nixie tubes. I'm head over heels for those things, now it looks like I'm going to need to learn electronics too. Also, making chain mail (or whatever, I learned that what you call it can apparently be a huge source of conflict)

I love you /diy/

Interesting. and I'm not really sure if it's work like that, but how would you fire it?

sorry, that wasn't very clear, the ferromagnets would be the projectiles and electromagnets would accelerate the projectile. Still, from what I've seen, it would be more cannon-sized than rifle-sized
