I really doubt that this is possible - 24 fps would mean a LOT of data being written to the memory card every second. If you want it raw (uncompressed) I guess that's a few hundred megabytes a second - well out of reach for the memory card. If you want it compressed (JPEG or whatever) it will not be able to compress 24 pictures a second. Also think of shutter speed limitations, 41 us is the maximum (and unachieveable because of phhysical setup time between shots) shutter speed you will be able to use.

:(

If the OP has anywhere near the number of PSU's pictured he could make a pretty sizeable coilgun capacitor bank from the power caps.

Unless he's in the US? I guess they will be ~200 V there. In the UK they are often ~400 V

Yeah, make a bench top power supply with one for sure (I have one from ages ago - works a charm)

For the rest... strip them down, pull out the capacitors and make a coil gun.

ATX PSU's have some cool bits in, worth having a few stripped and sorted for their transformers, caps etc. Although watch out for bulging/leaking caps - just throw them out.

Awesome write up. And nice cans - I have the SR80 and they need some new foam...

I used to get a big ball of window putty, stick it to my workbench and sthich the board to it. Solder away...

Send it back - 25 year warranty. I have had mine repaired (Wave) with the same issue.

I would use some long wooden dowels - maybe 1 cm width.

Clamp/strap the broken bit to the rest of it with some good wood glue on the faces.

Keep the clamps/straps on, let it dry.

Get a 10 mm (or whatever width dowel you are using) wood bit for the drill.

Put a couple of holes about 10 cm deep (I don't know - it's hard to see how big that piece is) going through the broken bit and into the main bit.

Get dowels, lube up with wood glue, knock in to holes.

Leave for a day.

Chop and dress protruding ends.

Not the easiest fix because it's a load bearing piece!

Talk to an owners club :)

Get on their boards, these cars still have a huge following in the UK as I'm sure you know. It's like the VW aircooled or Mini scene - still good with good people. Go and find them!

Lathe/mill work always makes some nice looking stuff. And of course, yseful.

Wood lathe too.

I know the initial cost is high but it's a whole lot of fun and financially rewarding if you can find a niche.

Here are some pretty cool guides and articles:

My food bill is <£20 a week. Sounds a lot but it's balanced with good carbs.

Chick peas
Kidney beans
Meat when you have a good pay day
Fish
(I could happily be a vegeterian for a long time - I don't miss meat and I didn't think I'd ever say that)
Frozen vegtables (cheap and has a LONG shelf life)
Spices
Oats
If you like rice, get a 20 kg bag. Lasts you pretty much forever. Protip: don't buy the cheapest nastiest stuff. There IS a difference. Even if you are paying double the cost of the cheapest, it's still horribly cheap.

This.

But really, Leatherman Wave. That thing has probably paid for itself in the little jobs I have done for people. It's a game changer if you have one in your drawer/car/pocket(UK knife laws - this isn't often) when you need it.

Most things are when you have an idea of how to make them :)

Deign (aesthetic) has always interested me and only reading your post have I realised how cool clocks are. Overdone by designers but still awesome!

So maybe your next project will be Arduino/xbee based so it never falls out of synch?

Interesting stuff...
