Imagine a princess bed.

Now throw a little Tron into it.

You are now aware that installing a projector and cyan christmas lights into your bed with a cream rail curtain is an awesome idea.

It's not as simple as that. Different colours use different resistors.

Do some research. If you buy on eBay, most sellers tend to tell you how to get them working anyway.

So, I just installed a blacklight.

I expected that most of my shit would start glowing, but it turns out only the white paper is doing it. So this obviously means I'm going deck out this bitch like a pimp.

Look! With awe! Be taken aback by the majesty of a blacklight reactive star mural! I'm interested in how to do this without fucking it up.

Any other creative blacklight ideas? Also, glowing shit general.

This can be your floor. Add underglow if you've got the bank.

Finally, try setting up some beanbags and have a nice widecreen cinema set-up on the opposite wall.

Here's a pillow idea.

Use this kind of effect on your bar, maybe that weird looking wooden couch. Maybe add a kind of outward jutt overhang over the the bottom.

Creating a the walls like this should be simple. Prolly could make the trim black instead and use this for a single wall, while keeping the rest of the walls dark.

Here are some ideas to get you going.

You could try using this stuff for the pool table, but I hear it's expensive. Might be better just replacing the fabric with purple, cyan, gold or pink cloth and adding EL wire around the edges.

I'm in the process of building a portfolio of glowing Tron furniture made from MDF, perspex and plywood. I might work on lamps made from simple materials and make them all modern and pretty cool on the pussy.

Find your niche and produce furniture as a hobby. There's no pressure of a deadline and you can brush up on your skills until a deadline will mean nothing to you anymore.

At this point, you'll transcend this level of existence or something. Just look online for things you want to make, then make them. If you have ideas, don't dismiss any of them for being "too stupid". If you think they're too stupid, then there's bound to be millions of others thinking the same thing. Congratulations. You have a niche market and less competition.

LOOK for "stupid" ideas. Build a giant arcade booth. Build a screen enclosing computer workstation. Work up to it.

Have you got some space indoors? If you have shitloads of space, consider torrenting a few Australian aquaponics DVDs. If you have less space, consider Googling for videos on hydroponics or aeroponics.

I don't know why people still grow in the ground anymore. It's more efficient, quicker and gives you more crop if you use a soil-less supercharged medium. And you can do it all year round.

You could do this, but you'd need to run an electrical charge or a florescent light upon it, and even then, it will only glow green in most cases without a filter.

Holy fuck, what is that thing?!

First thing you should do is start over again in design mode. Pick the one that measures in mm. That's how you accurately measure shit.

Try not to incorporate the screws and catches into the thing.

ELwirecraft on eBay charge something like £2 per metre of wire. You get discounts if you buy more wire at once. They sell adapters and splitters, also.

EL Wire might work fine. It's less bullshit with the wiring, and it won't be all "HOLY SHIT MY EYES" once the light it makes reflects off the surfaces of the disks. The trade off is that it can be more expensive than LEDS because online retailers tend to think "OH GLOWING SHIT IS LUXURY LOL" and jack up the price.

As I said before, don't go overboard with the light. If you want the lamp to look awesome, you have to make sure it offers the light you need and doesn't try to cover more of the room than it needs to. Lamps look shit if they lift the room up to the same level of light. Contrast, bro. Contrast.

You could try LED rope. They don't look as ass as LED strips, and they'll usually fit snugly into a hole similar to the ones on CDs.

I'll totally sell this shit myself and jack up the price.
