For christmas I just want my tools back. As my second job im a handy man and one night I awoke to my dog barking so I get out of bed and rush to see whats outside and all I see is a white truck with some teenage kids speed off. I walked outside and saw my vans window busted and all my tools around $3,000 worth all gone. I called the cops and my insurance company basicly told me to go fuck myself.

Just after christmas last year some fucker kicked the back window of my van in and stole my tool chest, and SDS drill and my subwoofer.

Fucker must have seen me using them because I always made sure that shit was covered up. All you could see if you looked in that van was a mess, nothing worth stealing.

Really? Legally?

I was planning on getting a mill/lathe combo (http://www.grizzly.com/products/12-x-36-Metal-Lathe-w-Milling-Head/G0492)) and making small custom parts, like footpeg relocators for obscure motorcycles and selling a few on forums, but I wasn't expecting to make any serious bank.

What were you thinking? Contract work?

Imagine if you fucked up a festool though. I know a guy who got a hex head bit stuck in the chuck of his festool drill ($800 AUD he paid for it). I found him in the workshop with the chuck in a machinists vice with him hammering a nail into the back end of it to try to pry the bit out. The moral of the story is tattooists earn too much money.

I use this harness for radio tower climbing.

I HIGHLY recommend it. The redundant safeties make it worthwhile. I don't mind death. Being a paraplegic / quadriplegic scares the crap out of me.

That's a rather nice one.

Reason I was contemplating the one I posted is that it was made by Sapsis Rigging specifically for riggers, truss climbers, etc in the entertainment and staging biz.

But I do like the one you have. Course I'll also have to get a lanyard, likely one with a scaffold hook.

There was also a poorly installed bumpout...it was completely rotted through due to shitty drainage and poorly installed flashing.

Definitely NOT a fun experience. But, we got it done in a day.
